What is TREND?

A Multiple Listing Service (MLS) is a partnership of real estate professionals cooperatively marketing properties for sale. TREND is the MLS for more than 32,000 real estate professionals in Philadelphia and the surrounding metropolitan regions.


Real estate professionals enter information on properties for sale into TREND, then other real estate professionals, representing homebuyers, search the MLS for homes that meet the buyers' needs. TREND maintains an Internet-based system that offers MLS information, public records, on-line and live help, product information and customized news for our members.

MLS Blue - Designed For the Way You Work

Becoming a member entitles you to access TREND's MLS system, MLS Blue. It provides a customized and streamlined experience for finding more than 69,000 active and 1.2 million comparable listings.

Search and Report

MLS Blue is a highly customizable MLS system, with innovative functionality to better support the way you do business. The main Listings Search can be tailored so you can select the criteria by which you want to search. Use subdivision? Add it to your screen. Never use school district? Remove it. MLS Blue offers many attractive reports that you can easily print or e-mail. You can also choose exactly how you want the report to look by selecting which listings and the order in which they display. The reports also offer an easy way to edit your criteria without the need to return to the search screen.

Client Relations and Saved Items

The Client Relations and Saved Items features connect what you do in TREND with your clients and enhances your methods of communication. E-mail functionality lets communicate efficiently and professionally with your clients - whether you are sending listings or just need to confirm an appointment. You can set up automatic searches, which will e-mail your clients when new listings are entered that match their needs. TREND offers a Saved Items section that is a repository for all your MLS work. You can create a portfolio of items for your client and manage it all from one central location, so you can save and easily retrieve it when you need it.

Info Center, Privileges and Preferences

The Info Center page displays information relevant to your MLS business. The "My Inbox" section tells you when you have Hotsheet or auto search matches, or listings about to settle or expire. In the My Account section, use Preferences to customize how certain aspects of the MLS looks and behaves. Similarly, Brokers and Office Managers can use Privileges to control which agents can access MLS functions, such as adding or changing listings.


Comprehensive and Timely Public Records

TREND's Public Records system includes public record data, tax rates, deed and mortgage data, location-enhancing data such as Zip+4 and carrier route, for 4.8 million public records located in the 34 counties in and around the Philadelphia metropolitan region. You can search by county, owner's name or telephone number, street address or tax identification number for this information. You can also view a Flood Data Report, which enables you to identify whether or not a property lies in a flood zone. The Public Records system and the MLS are integrated so that it is easy to move seamlessly between a listing and a property's tax information. This Public Records system is designed and maintained by TREND, providing the high-quality and up-to-date information expected by real estate professionals.


Personalized Information and Support

Customized News

TREND realizes different customers have different needs, which is why our marketing and support services focus on providing customized information to every member that is personal and current. The Info Center provides TREND information that is customized to your and your business, up-to-the-minute details on system functionality and status; timely and relevant TREND news; and industry news from Inman. You also have access to other valuable informational materials, such as the TRENDLINK newsletter and Economic and Market Watch Report, which is produced in conjunction with NAR. Finally, the My Account section offers you the ability to view and update your membership information on-line with My Profile, pay fees and register for MLS classes.

Help Desk

When you need assistance with TREND's products or services, TREND's Help Desk is there. TREND's knowledgeable and friendly Help Desk Representatives are available 7 days a week for e-mail support and telephone support via our toll free number. On-line help is offered 24 hours a day. Almost every page in TREND contains a link to help content specific for that page, and the help system is a completely searchable knowledgebase of tutorials and TREND forms. Just click on the "?" for help!

Training

Whether you are new to the business or a seasoned professional, TREND provides many educational opportunities. Realize unlimited possibilities by taking full advantage of TREND training classes. Gain valuable insight into how tools you already have at your disposal can be used in today's marketplace.
