Most computers today meet these hardware specifications. If you are purchasing a new computer, it most likely exceeds them. You should have at least:
- Pentium III 2.0 - 3.4 Gigahertz IBM compatible PC or better
- The TREND system is not designed for, nor do we support MAC PCs.
- Windows© XP (Home or Professional) with Service Pack 2
- Microsoft Word '97 or 2000
- 512 Megabytes of RAM
- 20 Gigabyte hard drive
- High-speed ISP
- 17" SVGA monitor with 256 color support
- 1024 x 768 screen resolution
The TREND system is not designed for, nor do we support wireless devices, such as Blackberry's, Sidekicks, PDAs, etc.
You will need the following software and services to use TREND's MLS system:
Make the following adjustments to the settings on your Internet Explorer browser so you can view and use all of TREND's website and services.
Add trendmls.com as a trusted website:
- From the Internet Explorer menu bar, select Tools.
- Select Internet Options from the drop-down menu.
- Select the Security tab.
- Select Trusted sites.
- Click "Sites."
- Uncheck the box next to Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone.
- Enter trendmls.com in the Add this Website to the zone.
- Click "Add."
- Click "Close."
- Click "OK."

Adjust your Privacy Settings in Internet Explorer:
- From the Internet Explorer menu bar, select Tools.
- Select Internet Options from the drop-down menu.
- Select the Privacy tab.
- The default setting is Medium. This setting will allow you to log in to TREND. You can move the slider to Medium or click the "Default" button to set the security level to Medium.
- Click "OK."

Check that your Content Advisor is disabled.
- From the Internet Explorer menu bar, select Tools.
- Select Internet Options from the drop-down menu.
- Select the Content tab.
- Under Content Advisor, there should be a button which says "Enable." This means that your Content Advisor is currently disabled. (You do not have to take any further action.)
- If the button reads "Disable," this means that your Content Advisor is currently enabled. To disable it:
- Click on the "Disable" button.
- Enter the password.
- Click "OK."

TREND strongly recommends high-speed Internet access, such as cable modem, DSL or frame relay. Offices with high-speed Internet access will be more satisfied with TREND’s MLS system than those using slower modem connections.
TREND does not recommend that you use DIRECWAY Satellite for your
Internet connection. DIRECWAY isn't compatible with some parts of our MLS,
including Listing Load. You may not be able to add or save listings in Listing
Load if you use DIRECWAY.
