    Changes to your TREND subscription

    The last year, and especially the last six months, have been a time of change for all of us involved in Bright, including you. While you’re not yet on the Bright MLS system (you still use the TREND system), Bright is becoming more a part of your work. Learn more about upcoming changes to your TREND bill, which will continue to align your fees to those of all Bright subscribers.


    The vision of Bright is to rethink the way an MLS works, simplify the MLS process, break down market barriers, and expand access to high-quality listing data for you and your clients. Some of the neighboring markets have already unified their MLSs and transitioned to the Bright system. That has meant some changes and challenges for TREND users. This includes new IDX feeds with expanded data, a changed IDX pricing structure, and soon you will have access to some of the new market areas from within the TREND system. We want to thank you for your partnership and patience. The Bright MLS system will come to you soon.

    Additional changes are coming that continue to align markets, by aligning MLS fees and renewals for all Bright subscribers, regardless of the system used.


    Effective with your next TREND subscription bill that will arrive on or after August 1, 2018:
    • Subscriptions are now quarterly instead of semi-annual. We’ve heard from many of you that you would prefer a shorter renewal. You will now receive a bill every 3 months instead of every 6 months.
    • Fees for subscribers affiliated with a stakeholder association will increase $4 per month to $35/month.
    • Fees for subscribers not affiliated with a stakeholder association will increase $6 per month to $53/month.
    While no one likes higher fees, this is on par for MLS services nationwide and is below average for the expanded data coming to you soon.

    The fee includes continued access many valuable tools and services that you already get, including:

    • Public records for 39 counties within and neighboring the TREND territory ShowingTime appointment scheduling and feedback tool
    • Predictive and performance analytics in the Market and Listing Performance Reports
    • Quick Edit mobile-optimized listing update tool
    • Homesnap mobile app
    • Remine, a map-based property search tool that combines consumer data and property data to help you target leads
    • A new consumer facing website in Brightmlshomes.com
    • Local data sets and fields
    • Locally tailored Closing Cost tools
    • Dynamic MLS dashboard that displays news and info for each association and office
    • Free Inman Select and RE Technology subscriptions
    • 7-day a week live Customer Support via phone, email and chat
    • 24/7 help available in the Online Help Center
    • Training in offices, associations and online
    • Customer Success Champions who visit your offices to help you get the most of the system
    • Articles with advice and tips on the industry, system and more through trendmls.com, TRENDLink, Bright Buzz and other email.
