At first, the agent at Prudential Fox and Roach in Oxford, Pa., thought it was a case of mistaken identity. Miller attended a recent trade show where her name was called as the grand prize winner of a
pick-up truck, or so she thought. When she went to claim her prize, she was handed a dose
of heartbreak instead of a set of keys.
“The person who called out my name knew me, and he said it was another Marianne Miller,”
she said. “I told my husband this (winning a laptop) was probably just like the truck. I’ve never won anything in my life.”
Until now.
Miller was selected as the grand prize winner of the TRENDs in Technology Giveaway Game, which meant that she was the proud new owner of a business notebook laptop computer.
“A laptop is very important for the type of business we do,” said Miller, who has been an agent for more almost four years. “I want to get to the point where I’m taking it on presentations.”
Miller believes the laptops biggest asset is its mobility. As a

Miller started her real estate career as an agent at Beiler-Campbell REALTORS® in Oxford before moving to Century 21 Pierce and Bair. She remained when Prudential Fox and Roach took over that office in August.
She and husband, Tom, live in Nottingham, Lancaster County, Pa., and have four children.
Miller was one of 43 TREND members to win prizes. The 2002 Giveaway Game was held during the REALTORS® Triple Play Convention and Trade Expo in Atlantic City, N.J., in December. held a few weeks later, where the unclaimed prizes were awarded.
