TREND's MLS is Going Mobile - Soon!

Ever drive by a home and want immediate information about the price? About bedrooms or baths? Soon, you can search for this information directly from your mobile device, whenever you want and wherever you are - using TREND Mobile. (From TRENDLink, Volume 14, Issue 3, Fall 2009)


In an age where today's society is becoming increasing mobile, TREND understands your need to easily access listing information. You, like many agents, work in a mobile environment, performing routine business tasks from your briefcase or handheld device. When TREND Mobile is released, you will have enough information to work out in the field.

The Internet and the new technology that stems from it - has resulted in many new and exciting solutions to the challenges of today's competitive business world and demanding consumer needs.

Mobile to be Compatible with Most New Devices

To use TREND Mobile, you need a mobile phone with an:
  • HTML-compliant Internet browser
  • Internet connection
  • Ability to support cookies, CSS and Javascript 1.0
  • Screen resolution of at least 240 by 240 pixels


Initial Functionality to Include Radius Search

The initial release of TREND Mobile, which is currently in development, will contain the basic functionality that you need to conduct your business:
  • Search - Look for residential listings by MLS number, street address or landmark, or perform a radius search within a specified distance. Also, you can include 180 days of settled listings.
  • Reports - View basic listing information and the primary photo on reports that have been specifically designed for TREND Mobile.
  • Directory - Search for contact information for an agent or office from the same search screen.

Feedback Form Allows You to Guide Future of the Product

As a partner in the TREND community, your input is invaluable to the direction of the products and services that are created to meet your needs. You will be able to use a feedback mechanism to submit your comments and questions about TREND Mobile.


Future Functionality Already in the Works

Based on the feedback we have and will continue to receive about TREND Mobile, TREND plans to release future enhancements to this product. Some of that functionality is already in development, including:
  • Enhanced search features
  • More detailed reports
Many ideas have come from our beta testers, who were among the first members to use TREND Mobile, and help us set the direction for its functionality. At the end of this beta testing phase, all members will have access. We have not determined a date when this will take place.
