Prepare for unexpected introductions; update your E-Card

Your E-Card allows you to personalize client communications from TREND and helps you promote yourself as a real estate professional. Because email can be easily forwarded, those listing matches you send to a client could likely end up being sent to their neighbor, cousin or brother, who are all potential new clients. Update your E-Card and be prepared for these unexpected introductions.

It’s easy to create your E-Card, set your preferences to attach it to your client communications and never look back. Possibly out-dated E-Card information might not harm your relationship with current clients, but the ease of forwarding email means you never know who might be scanning through your E-Card and considering your services. To prepare for this, look over your E-Card every few months and pay special attention to certain aspects that can quickly become stale.

Make sure your picture pops

Your E-Card picture draws the reader into the information. It creates a quick first impression about you and your brand. Make that impression a good one by keeping your picture fresh and current. Think about the time you take considering your Facebook picture. Doesn’t your E-card picture deserve just as much, if not more attention?

Check your links for accurate information

The Send Me an Email link and the View my Current Listings link are automatically added to your E-Card. They are collected from your information in TREND. Click on them. Experience them the way a potential client might. Someone who wants to put their home on the market may look at your listings as a type of resume, scanning through to see what type of homes you sell. A buyer might be interested in the area you cater to and the expertise you can offer. If you feel like your current listings, don’t reflect your business expertise as much as you’d like, make sure your additional links include the information your listings might not highlight.

Showcase your skills and personality - add additional links

The additional links section is the perfect place to give potential clients more resources about you and your business. Add links that will direct them to useful information. Are you extremely active on Facebook, but have not sent out a tweet in months? Check the information on your blog and social media accounts. Maybe you are never going to be active on Twitter. Rather than send potential clients to a dead account, remove the Twitter link and add a link to your new Facebook page where you interact regularly.

When you look at your e-card, think of how you read email. If you’re like me, you quickly scan for relevant information, decide to keep it or delete it and move on. By making your e-card stand out, you have the potential to catch someone’s eye. Maybe they were forwarded the email because their family member wanted a second opinion on a listing. If your E-Card is successful at grabbing their attention, you could impress them and earn a potential new client or earn a forward to someone they know who is in the market to sell or buy a home.

Update your E-Card now!
