Best of all, you can crop your images quickly and easily without having to leave the MLS. You don't have to purchase additional software to edit your photos. In addition to property photos, you can use the cropping tool to edit agent and office photos, company logos and floor plans.
You can access the cropping tool from the View Thumbnails Page. This is where you adjust the brightness and contrast of an image as well as replace, copy delete, re-order and rotate them. Look for the new square icon to use the cropping feature.
The click and drag functionality of the new cropping tool makes it easy to use. The MLS automatically keeps your photo size proportionate so you won't end up with a distorted image. Also, when you have finished, you can preview the newly-cropped image before saving the change.
Tips for using Photo Cropping
- Balance. Members will want to ensure that you have cropped your image so that nothing is cut off at the top, bottom
or sides.
- Be sure to examine the photo in its entirety. Is there an unsightly object to the side of the photo? Too much sky above? Or is the photo not quite centered? All of these elements can be adjusted with the cropping tool.
- Don't let a key element get lost. Are you attempting to highlight a beautiful entryway? Don't let a small detail be swallowed up by a large image. Crop the rest of the image so that the main focal point is the entryway.
- Remember, once a cropped photo is saved, it overwrites the original photo.
