    Recent Updates to the MLS

We have updated the MLS to the latest version of the Matrix platform, part of our preparations to transition to Bright. With this latest update, there were some small changes that we wanted to make you aware of.

    Changes to the Map

When you access the map in the MLS to perform searches, you may notice the following changes:
    • Removal of Bird’s Eye: Bing Maps Bird's Eye View was on average 5 years old or more. And so, many properties were missing: new construction, exterior renovations, and even whole developments. With this in mind, the view was removed from the Matrix platform. Within the MLS you still have the ability to view property lines on a map or from an aerial view. You also have the ability to see an aerial view of property lines and school districts with the Homesnap Pro app, powered by Bright MLS. Don’t have Homesnap Pro? Get it today.

    • Tap-Tap-Tap to Draw Shapes on Touchscreens: If you draw shapes for map searches on your touchscreen devices, you will only be able to draw shapes using tap-tap-tap with the next release. You will no longer use tap and drag for drawing shapes on touchscreens.

    Auto Email Updates

    • Unsubscribe from emails will disable all Auto Emails: if a contact chooses to unsubscribe from your emails from TREND, all of the Auto Emails you have set up for them will automatically disable.

    • Disabled by System filter corrected: When viewing your Auto Emails, you can filter to see the ones that have been disabled by the system because your contact never clicked on the initial link.

amen jack they are the worst nothing gets done because they are backed by the board of realtors the board makes the decisions.... and the owners of the companies they control what is done or not done

why dont you ask agents before you add and remove features such as birds eye trend now bright bart loses sight of who the clients are they are us the agents you have a panel of people that make all the decisions i have been asking for a field for condo phone numbers for years i put a number in the remarks and get fined 50 dollars i appeal my fine and you the trend will not let me ... i have homes that are pending i requested they stay pending due to long settlement date ie short sales and you let them expire instead of keeping them in the pending status your company and service stinks unlike paragon down the shore your company severices awe full but i have no choice i call and request changes nothing gets done i have listing longer then a year i can only input them for 1 year i made a request to change it to unlimited time in nj you can take listing longer then a year .. but trend does nothing to help and address our concerns they would rather fine me 50 dollars for a phone number to a condo ass. in the remarks then address our concerns oh well that is why monopolys in business are illegal you do nothing but raise fees and put people on your board that are management not agents oh well

OK, SO the things that DO work we get rid of, IE; Angle view, and we replace it with Download this app OR try Firefox or chrome, OR ???
This system is very frustrating as often as changes are made with what I see as NO INPUT from the users !!
Your mental dynamics of what WOW you might be creating simply stymie and complicate simple processes.
Loading pictures WAS a simple task, all things simple there seems to be a way to jam them up !
    Nuff Said !! J.S.

Current new map functions are terrible and on multiple occasions can not even find the property. Sorry but I don't use HomeSnap Pro and I am offended you would actully expect us to use it! I certainly would never use a phone app to see details on a property. (???) Thank god for Goggle Earth. You guys yoshould be adding upgrades to Trend not downgrading it and trying to sell us crappy phone apps!!

It sounds like the issue you're having is related to an upgrade to Internet Explorer. Switching to Chrome or Firefox should resolve this issue.

I am also having trouble printing the sheets and my computer locks up? I thought it was me but I see others complaining. I had to resort to e-mailing the sheets to myself to print them!

The price goes up and features I actually USE like Birds Eye and the Ruler get removed. How does it save time to go to another program HOMESNAP to get birds eye? Still waiting for municipal boundary lines to be included...Why is that a problem?

I am still bothered by not being able to use birds eye view. This should be reinstated. The good far out weighed the bad. This system cost us more every year. We should have the parts of it we actually used. Why won't TREND even consider bringing it back?

I'd rather Trend fix problems -- like my inability to print Member One Page reports from Internet Explorer -- rather than "improving" (aka disabling) systems that we PAY for.

Unfortunately this feature will not be coming back. The information in the birds eye view was extremely outdated, which could have created an issue for you and other professionals who relied on its accuracy. I understand it's not ideal, because it's a tool outside of the MLS, but Google Maps includes many of these features and can be used for free.

I agree with the comments above about the ability to rotate with birdseye. I called into Trend to say how disappointed I was with the fact that they changed the birdseye view and the ability to get closer to the home and do the 360 degree rotation. This feature was extremely important and in my opinion one of the best features Trend had to offer. With the rotation tool I could basically get a good look at the home, including the front of the home, before I even went out to the property. Now, in order to do something similar, I have to go to RPR or some other site. I personally believe Trend has many features that are not used or needed and this was one that was definitely used and needed.

I agree with Robert, How about proposing the changes to the users prior to making them. Birds eye view isn't just for the dwelling it also shows a lot of other information and would allow you to rotate the map. In addition to the exterior influences like a gas station, school, industries or highway, the maps were very clear and crisp. The new mapping tool is fuzzy. I hope that it will be brought back or a tool that is equivalent will be. Do realize that all other real estate sites still have a birds eye view. I can't be that outdated.

I agree with Robert Jones, the Birdseye view was a great tool to see what the surroundings were like for the listings....ie; commercial buildings nearby ....any chance it will come back?

It seems the "birdseye" needs to be replaced with something comparable. I always preferred to use the rotate and birdseye features.

I used the birds eye view heavily and want it back asap. I agree some of the areas were not up to date, but more were than were not. What can we do to bring this feature back?

How about proposing the changes to the users prior to doing so. Birds eye view isn't just for the dwelling it also shows the exterior influences like a gas station, school, or highway. The reasoning to remove it is poor at best.

The internet explorer issue has been going on too long - are you aware that The Help Desk is recommending using Mozilla/Firefox? In Firefox you can't view tax maps. The listing export feature does not give the option to save as.

We are aware of this issue. Our team is working on resolving it. I can let you know once the issue is fixed.
