Tom Phillips
Tom Phillips has served as the President and CEO of TREND since June 2007.
He joined TREND as Vice President of Product Marketing and Support in August 2000 and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in March 2006. Tom also worked in the REALTOR® Association/MLS business, previously serving as the Executive Vice President for the Burlington County Board of REALTORS® in New Jersey. He later served as CEO of the Burlington-Camden Association of REALTORS® after helping to facilitating a merger with the Camden County Board. He is a Certified Association Executive and a REALTOR® Association Certified Executive. A graduate of the University of Illinois, Tom has helped to build TREND into a leader and innovator in the MLS industry.
Ken Schneider
Ken Schneider is the Vice President of Product Management for TREND.
He joined TREND as Product Manager of Public Records in January 2003. He was promoted to Director of Product Management in July 2005, managing both TREND's MLS and public records products and services. He assumed his current position in April 2007. Today, he manages the product and business development, software development and quality assurance groups. Ken has spent his entire career in the real estate information industry. In 1993, he started as a salesperson for Philadelphia-based Realist. During his 10 years at Realist, TransAmerica Intellitech and First American Real Estate Solutions, Ken held various positions of increasing responsibility, ultimately ending as Manager of Database Systems and Services.
Carmela Cataudella-Sanzone
Carmela Cataudella-Sanzone is the Director of Human Resources and Administration for TREND.
She has been with TREND since its inception in September 1995. She is responsible for employee recruitment, coordinating staff benefit plans, developing staff office policies, planning company events and conferences. Carmela has also served on numerous planning committees, including the Strategic Business Conference and Connection 2008: The MLS Conference. Both of these successful conferences bring together local real estate, association and MLS industry executives to discuss common challenges. Carmela began her professional career, working for various pharmaceutical, insurance, construction, engineering, architectural and management consulting companies.
Cheri Andrews
Cheri Andrews is the General Counsel for TREND.
She manages all legal affairs for TREND, including transactional and contract management and litigation oversight. Prior to joining TREND in January 2004, she was an associate in private practice for more than 15 years. She worked at the firms of Manning, Kinkead, Brooks & Bradbury, Norristown, PA, from 1987 to 1996 and High, Swartz, Roberts & Seidel, Norristown, PA, from 1996 to 2003. Cheri is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar. She received her bachelor's degree magna cum laude from Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, MA, and her J.D. from Temple University School of Law.
Dennis Durkin
Dennis Durkin, CPA, is the Chief Financial Officer for TREND.
A Certified Public Accountant since 1981, Dennis joined TREND in June 2000. He spent more than 20 years working at several accounting firms in the private sector, including his own family's business. His clients included the former Eastern Montgomery Association of REALTORS® and Suburban Multiple Listing Service. From 1995 to 2000, Dennis also served as an independent auditor during the formation of TREND, providing expertise in exploring organizational and tax structures. Today, he oversees the Finance Department, accounting and tax functions. Dennis also co-founded the Conference of MLS Accountants.
Jim English
Jim English is the Vice President of Operations for TREND.
He joined TREND as a Technical Service Manager in October 1995 and was promoted to a vice president in November 2001. Today, he oversees the Local Area and Wide Area Networks systems as well as TREND's telecommunications system and vast hardware and software inventory. Jim gained much of his technological savvy during a prestigious 20-year career in the United States Navy. He was promoted 11 times during his service and ultimately achieved the rank of lieutenant and served as Electronics Officer on two guided missile frigates. Retiring from the Navy in 1989, Jim became the Technical Manager for Computer Power Inc., Puerto Rico. In 1992, he returned to the Navy as a civilian communications consultant and was stationed in Naples, Italy.
Mary Frances Adams
Mary Frances Adams is the Director of Business Development for TREND.
She joined TREND as an Account Executive in March 2001. She was promoted to Business Development Manager in June 2003 then to her current position in October 2007. Her department is responsible for TREND's business development initiatives, overseeing the sales and licensing of TREND data, managing all TREND products and cultivating relationships with vendors and corporate customers. Before coming to TREND, Mary Frances worked in the real estate industry for 20 years. Starting as an agent, office manager and relocation director, she transitioned to the real estate information business, selling public records for Realist, TransAmerica Intellitech and First American Real Estate Solutions. Previously, she also worked in the insurance industry.
Sharon C. Lukens
Sharon C. Lukens is the Director of Design and Communications for TREND.
She started at TREND as a technical writer in November 1997. Her role quickly expanded to managing print publications and then onto managing the content, functionality and re-designs of www.trendmls.com. Now, as Director of Design and Communications, she ensures that TREND's user-interface, print publications and electronic media are of the highest quality and value. Other highlights of Sharon's career at TREND include architecting TREND's electronic billing system in 2003, and heading the MLS Blue implementation team, which planned the communication, education and support for converting members to the new MLS in 2007. During her studies at Elizabethtown College, she interned at the Rosie O'Donnell Show in New York City.
Vernon Jones III
Vernon Jones III, CAE, RCE, is the Director of Customer Support & Training for TREND.
Prior to joining TREND in June 2007, he served as an association executive for more than 18 years. He has gained a vast amount of industry and REALTOR® Association knowledge and experience. Today, he leads a team responsible for all customer service functions: Support Center, Account Executives and Compliance. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer for the Chicago Association of REALTORS®. He has also held senior management positions with the Burlington-Camden Association of REALTORS® and Hunterdon-Somerset Association of REALTORS®. A graduate of the College of William & Mary, he has earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) and REALTOR® Association Certified Executive (RCE) designations.
