Why can't I expire my listing?

Problem

I am unable to expire my listing or change the expiration date to an earlier date than currently entered.

Reason

TREND members, including brokers and managers, cannot modify an expiration date to shorten the length of a listing contract.

Solution

Fax a completed listing update form to TREND, along with an addendum signed by the Managing Broker agreeing to the seller's request to shorten the term of the listing contract by moving the expiration to an earlier date.
