Map coordinates not available for new construction

Often, new construction listings fail to have map grid coordinates. The reason for this could be that:

• The street is new and has not been added to the mapping database.
• There is no Public Record associated with the property. This affects the mapping utility, because it uses the Longitude and Latitude of the property location to plot the property on the map. This information is listed in the Public Records database. If there is no Public Record, the mapping utility has no location information.
• The listing is a new construction or falls under Category 2 (Lot/Land/Farm)

New Construction streets often simply do not exist in the database. Vacant land seldom has a valid street address, which is required to place a property on the map. Many mapping programs will tend to be inaccurate regarding new construction or Lot/Land/Farm properties.

Map grid coordinates are mandatory for PA and DE, but not NJ.
